Royal Photographic Society

'Brighton West Pier' (Andy Linden LRPS)

'Daffodils' (Andy Linden LRPS)

More good news (will it ever end?!) AWPS member Andy Linden LRPS has 2 of his photographs in the new Royal Photographic Society book 'Portfolio Two'.

This is a 240 page volume, designed to give a broad picture of what the RPS is all about. It has various articles about photography and portfolios by such luminaries as Annie Leibovitz, Don McCullin, Martin Parr and Terry O'Neill.

The members gallery section has 178 photographs. 3,500 images were submitted for selection and Andy was one of only 19 people who had more than one picture chosen to be in the book!

Here's a link that gives some more info. The book costs £30 + P&P.

Landscape Photographer of The Year 2010

Great news for the club to end the year on - Marshall Pinsent and Stu Mayhew both have photographs published in the Take-a-View Landscape of The Year 2010 hardcover book and the images feature in the exhibition currently running at the National Theatre until 16th January 2011.

Marshall's photograph 'Fairytale of Fairfield' was the runner-up in the highly competitive 'Classic View' Category. And Stu's image 'Wind-powered' won a judges commendation.

Over 100 of the very best entries from the 2010 Awards are on show at the free exhibition, so please try to get along - it's a must-see!
