Prints Competition - 3rd round RESULTS


Congratulations to Ted Summers who scored a 10 for 'Godrevey Lighthouse' and wins this round of our internal prints comp in Group 2.



Well done also to new member Jonathan Hood who came top in Group 1 with 'Mongolian Lady'.

The results were as follows (in order of score and the judge's preference):

GROUP 1 (Intermediate)
1st 'Mongolian Lady' by Jonathan Hood (score 10)
2nd 'Still Life' by John Ewer (10)
3rd 'End of the rainbow' by Jonathan Hood (9)
4th 'Parallell World' by John Ewer (9)

GROUP 2 (Advanced)
1st 'Godrevey Lighthouse' by Ted Summers (10)
2nd 'Reign is over' by Tim Rose (10)
3rd 'Springs' by Stu Mayhew (10)
4th 'Care in the community' by Dave Mason (9.5)

All the winning pictures will go through to our Prints final at the end of the season and will be available to view in the club gallery later this week.

Guest Speaker - 11 January

David Solomons - London Street photography



We are very pleased to announce David Solomons will give a talk to AWPS on Tuesday 11 January from 8pm.

David is a very well respected colour street photographer following in the hallowed footsteps of Elliot Erwitt, Gary Winogrand and Tony Ray Jones.

The Bob - Round 2 results (at last!)


The long delayed second round of the Bob Forshaw DPI comp was finally completed last night and the winners are:

1st 'Marsh Sunset' by Stu Mayhew
2nd 'Victoria Dock' by Marshall Pinsent
3rd 'Car Wash' by Elaine Cranmer
4th 'People Watcher' by Justin Kington

Congratulations to all the winners and thank you to everyone who entered this round. The quality of the work submitted was of an exceptionally high standard which made it one of the most interesting comps of the season.

All the winning photographs will be available to view in the website gallery later this week. The full score sheet will be on the noticeboard at the club.
